At 25 years old, Randy has established himself as one of the youngest and hardest working electronic dance music DJs in Los Angeles. His dedication for playing quality and time-appropriate music has created a demand for Randy that he is humbled to meet. Already this energetic newcomer has risen to the occasion by gaining an impressive list of credits.
Randy’s versatility has enabled him to share the stage with such well-known DJs as Ferry Corsten, Gabriel & Dresden, Christopher Lawrence, Sandra Collins, Yahel, Rank 1, M.A.N.D.Y, Serge Devant, Chuck Love and Colette.
On New Year’s Eve 2003, at eighteen years old, Randy unknowingly attended a party called Together as One, which changed his life. He witnessed DJ's using their turntables to create the most “epic musical experience” he had ever witnessed. Randy says, “It was a combination of musical and social experiences... I had never before witnessed an environment that transcended culture and music; where so many people from so many different walks of life could get together in one place, to self-express without restriction, and to leave everything else outside. I felt like the music uniquely created that environment, and this is why I instantly fell in love.” Randy became determined to pursue how he could create that experience for others, so he began to DJ and produce music.
When Randy was just 20 years old, he landed an internship for GIANT, one of the world’s largest electronic music promotion companies. This fortunate connection allowed Randy to foster great relationships, which ultimately landed him a job directly after college working at the worldwide music booking agency, Coast II Coast Entertainment, where he became Manager of Artist Tours. The tours he managed included: Infected Mushroom, Shpongle & Hallucinogen, Louie Vega, Skazi, GMS, Roy Davis Jr., Cevin Fisher, KRS-One and Sean Paul. In May 2008, Randy took a job managing the tour operations exclusively for Mushroom Touring Inc., Infected Mushroom’s tour corporation.
Since 2007, Randy has toured with Psy-Trance megastars, Infected Mushroom, playing over 30 shows with them around the world (from Quito, Ecuador to Bangalore, India and everywhere in between). This has allowed him to carve out his own unique blend of progressive music. Randy is about exploring the unknown; it is what makes him thrive. As one could expect, touring with Infected Mushroom has opened many doors for Randy, including headlining at Body Language in Syracuse, New York as well as warming up for M.A.N.D.Y. & Sandra Collins at Autocinemas Las Torres in Monterrey, Mexico. Additionally, Randy has had the privilege of playing the past three Winter Music Conferences in Miami at the Ultra Music Festival along with some of the world’s finest electronic music artists (Moby, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Danny Tengalia, Eric Prydz and The Prodigy to name a few).
Randy was named Breakthrough DJ/Producer by Infected Mushroom in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 Poll of 2009.
Randy's first remix was released in June of 2007, on Thee-O's label, Biohazard — a remix of Victor Gonzales' Better Step Up. Since then, Randy has had a stream of releases including his remix of Grow Aware's Express Yourself, which was released in September '08 as part of the compilation “Essential Tech House.” Randy's first original EP, called “The Green Thumb EP,” was signed in July 2009 to House Music legend Steve Porter's PH Recordings. It is due out on ITunes, Beatport, and all other major digital music stores.
He hasn't settled with DJing and Production; 2010 marked the launch of Open House, Randy's weekly electronic music mix show featuring the grooviest deep, tech, and progressive from around the world, subscribe to the podcast for free at the iTunes store!
